It’s Grammy Night!

The most coveted music awards of the year– The Annual Grammy Awards are here ladies and gents!

Are you ready for this year’s envelope-pushing Grammy fashion? The Grammy’s are one of my favorite award shows to watch and I’m super excited.

Besides the red carpet hits and misses, I’m intrigued by Lady Gaga’s anticipated performance. I would love for her to perform “Telephone”, but according to the blogosphere, she’ll perform “Speechless” with Elton John. Either way, I’m sure she’s gonna kill it.

Stay tuned to watch the Grammy’s live from LA. and don’t forget to check the watch Live From the Red Carpet on E! at 6 p.m. ET/PT!

THE ALL-CAPS BLOG RANT IS BACK!

For those who read my Kamber Spotted at Paris Fashion Week post, you were forewarned about an upcoming angry rant from Mr. West.

Don’t wanna say it, but I told ya so.

After keeping a low-key profile after the now-legendary, “I’ma let you finish” debacle at the VMAs last year, Kanye West has come out of ranting retirement with a brand new ALL-CAPS BLOG RANT.

In his new rant, he talked trash about fashion bloggers, his hatred for coloring books and Catholic school teachers. I was a bit confused at points, but all in all, I’m glad the old Kanye is back!!!

Here’s a little snippet from his angry rant:

…NO COCAINE, JUST LIFE MY NI**AS!! NO COCAINE, JUST LIFE! IT’S FUNNY TO ME WHEN FASHION BLOGGERS DOWN OUR OUFITS AND THEN SUPER JOCK OUTLANDISH SH*T ON THE RUNWAY BUT THEN THEY DRESS MAD PRUDE AND DON’T LIVE FASHION. WE LIVE IT MAN. F*** THAT, WE LIVE IT!!! WE LIVE IT SO HARD PEOPLE LIVE THROUGH US!

What a great way to start off my Saturday morning!

Juicy Couture Founders Leave the Brand

I guess all good things must come to an end. After 7 years, Gela Nash-Taylor and Pamela Skaist-Levy, the design duo who founded Juicy Couture, are throwing in the towel.

Nash-Taylor and Skaist-Levy built a hugely successful company based on a single brainstorm: bedazzled velour hoodie and sweatpants set that became a housewife staple and a tween must-have.

The two would like to focus on a TV show (I smell a reality show brewing), a book and movie.

iPad: Worst name ever?

Seriously, what were they thinking? Just another reason why I’m on Team Blackberry. Besides sounding like the next-generation feminine product, it’s looks like a super sized version of the iPhone if you ask me.

Which makes this antic even funnier, MadTV beat us all to the punch. They made a skit years ago for the “iPad”–a menstruation device that hooks to your computer. Apple probably should have Googled “iPad” before coming out with this wack name.

Check out the video: MadTV iPad

America’s Next Top Plus-Size Model?

That’s right folks. Tyra Banks is launching the first EVER plus size model competition for teens, which she’s calling, Tyra’s Fiercely Real Teen Model Search.

Tyra rightly points out that the average woman’s size in America is 12-14 — not exactly the 0-2 you often see on the runway, so she’s kicking off the Fiercely Real Teen Model Search to select six finalists that will appear on the The Tyra Show (which is in its final season). There’ll be Top Model-esque challenges involved, and the winner will receive Top Model-esque prizes like a contract with Wilhelmina, a spread in a magazine, a photo shoot, and even a whole day with Tyra herself.

As of right now, it’s not replacing the original ANTM, but who knows…

Kardashians To Show at NY Fashion Week

Yeah, that’s right. Kim, Khloe and Kourtney are set to showcase their much-anticipated Bebe collection during New York Fashion Week next month.

For all of you NYFW goers, don’t get too excited because the trio will not be at Bryant Park, however, they will debut at Stage 37 on Manhattan’s West Side instead.

The Kardashian-Bebe show will be the kick-off show on Tuesday, February 16 for STYLE360, a 2-day fashion event that will include 10 runway shows from emerging or independent designers.
