Say It Ain’t So Fern!

IMG senior VP Fern Mallis, who helms Fashion Week, is stepping down to start her own consulting company! She’s calling it Fern Mallis LLC, and today is her last day at IMG. Mallis has been Fashion Week’s planner since the event began eighteen years ago, when she was executive director of the CFDA. She said the move had been a long time coming. “When we were planning the move to Lincoln Center, it felt like closure, like the end of the cycle,” she toldWWD.

With IMG Fashion as her first client, Mallis won’t abandon Fashion Week entirely. But with her stepping down from IMG as the veritable face of the event, Fashion Week moving to Lincoln Center, and Stephanie Winston Wolkoff signing on as Fashion Week director (a brand-new position), it sounds like we’re in for a hugely different Fashion Week come September.

I Wanna Be Like Anna Wintour When I Grow Up!

The September Issue or as some call it, “the real Devil Wears Prada” is available in stores on DVD.

This DVD is a fashionista’s must-have! The Vogue documentary takes an inside look into the fashion world of Anna Wintour and the workings behind the 840 page, 5 lb. famed magazine — Vogue’s biggest fashion issue.

You also got a glimpse of André Leon Talley crazy antics and Grace Coddington’s attachment to her work.

The DVD has 90 minutes of bonus material which includes never-before-seen footage of the Vogue offices, commentary and photos.

Watch an exclusive clip of a deleted scene you’ll find on the DVD from The Cut here. In it, Anna Wintour and André Leon Talley greet a nervous Paulo Melim Andersson backstage at the Chloe show. Anna suggests he have a drink. Haha!
