Tracy Reese: F/W 2010

Without a doubt, Tracy Reese is one of my FAVORITE designers and it has absolutely nothing to do with her being from Detroit, but it’s a factor. Haha! If you remember my crazy #nyfw tweets, I was hyperventilating when I received an invite to her show. She’s one of the few successful, African-American designers who showed at Fashion Week.

One thing about Tracy, she’s not afraid to be a girly girl, and goes over the top in doing so. Floral prints, flowy skirts, and feminine silhouettes have been front runners in her fashion collections for years, but for her fall line, Reese attempted to make “an eclectic mix of urban and rural style.” Her fall collection proves that you can you look stylish—and warm—in the cold. I loved every piece from beginning to end. 🙂

  2. I usually don’t like girly clothes, but I LOVE Tracey Reese. The runaway looks were fabulous toughened up with non-girly accessories.
